Jim Merkel, an environmental sustainability author and director of the Global Living Project, will appear at LIU Post on Tuesday, March 26 as part of the Provost Distinguished Lecture Series. The public and students are invited to this free lecture which will be held at 12:45 p.m. in Humanities Hall, Room 119 at the university located at 720 Northern Boulevard in Brookville.

Jim Merkel is an American author, volunteer, and engineer who moved from involvement in the military industry to pioneering in simplicity. Author of “The Global Living Handbook,” “Radical Simplicity: Small Footprints on a Finite Earth” and featured in a documentary “Simply Radical,” Merkel advocates pathways to a deeply sustainable way of living respectful of all life.
